A Alternância /l/ - /r/ no grupo consonantal em Botelhos - MG

Abstract

Resumo: O presente trabalho trata da alternância entre as liquidas no grupo conso antal no dialeto de Botelhos (fl.6. ), investigada sob a perspectiva da Teoria da Variação. De acordo com o modelo, são levantados condicionamentos sociais e lingüísticos que possam influenciar na escolha das variantes /l/ ou /r/. Os resultados mostram que o fenômeno apresenta correlção em menor ou maior grau com os fatores sociais estratificados - sexo,idade e escolaridade - com os fatores não estratificados - mídia, sensibilidade lingüistica e background rural - bem como com os fatores lingüísticos contextos fonológicos precedentes e seguintes.

Abstract: The present, work deals with the alternation between the liquids within the consonantal groups in Botelhos (MG), which is investigated under the perspective of the Labovian Theory of Variation According to the model., social and linguistic variants are considered as possible relevant factors acting in the process of choosing between the variants /I/ or /r/. The results reveal that the phenomenon shows correlation, in lower or higer degree, with the stratified social factors sex, age and scholarity -, with the nonstratified social factors media, linguistic sensibility and rural background -, as well as with the linguistic factors - the preceding and the following phonological contexts.
