A experiência da imigração de agricultores brasileiros no Paraguai (1970-2010)

Resumo: A região Leste do Paraguai foi profundamente modificada após a chegada de agricultores brasileiros. Esse fenômeno social, que se iniciou nos anos 1970, foi marcado por um conjunto de fatores, envolvendo interesses dos governos do Brasil e do Paraguai. Neste contexto, evidenciaram-se a participação de empresas de colonização, a construção da Ponte da Amizade e da Usina Hidrelétrica de Itaipu, a mecanização da agricultura na região oeste do Paraná e os interesses dos próprios agricultores em manterem seu modo de vida. Os principais fatores de atração foram: o baixo custo das terras, a fertilidade do solo e a proximidade com a região de origem, o oeste do Paraná. O objetivo principal deste estudo foi perceber as relações entre os agricultores imigrantes brasileiros e os paraguaios. As experiências destes sujeitos foram estudadas a partir de entrevistas orais. Registraram-se informações que demonstram o cotidiano dos primeiros tempos da imigração, com a formação de suas propriedades e dos núcleos de povoamento Curva da Lata (município de Katueté) e Gleba 11 (município de Mbaracayu), ressaltando o convívio sócio-cultural com a sociedade paraguaia. Os espaços estudados mostraram-se privilegiados para a análise das interações, adaptações, conflitos, ideologias e a pluralidade cultural como elemento de identidade e síntese. Percebeu-se, enfim, a possibilidade de construção de uma compreensão da atual dinâmica sociocultural paraguaio-brasileira, em que é possível perceber não somente a transformação do espaço no qual os brasileiros são os agentes da modernização da agricultura, com o crescimento da produção de soja no Paraguai, mas também as transformações no campo da cultura imaterial. Evidenciam-se no cotidiano, características da construção e reconstrução de identidades e alteridades, neste entrecruzamento de culturas. É uma história criada e recriada neste novo espaço de convivência. Abstract: The eastern region of Paraguay was profoundly changed after the arrival of Brazilian farmers. This social phenomenon, which began in the 1970s, was marked by a number of factors, involving the interests of governments of Brazil and Paraguay. In this context, it proves that participation of enterprises of colonization, the construction of the Friendship Bridge and the Itaipu Hydroelectric Plant, the mechanization of agriculture in the region west of Paraná and the interests of farmers in m intaining their own way of life. The main attraction factors were: the low cost of land, soil fertility and proximity to the region of origin, west of Parana. The main objective of this study was to understand the relations between immigrants Brazilian farmers and the Paraguayans. The experiences of these subjects were studied on the basis of oral interviews. Information was recorded showing the daily life of early days of immigration, with the formation of their properties and population centers Curva da Lata(municipality of Katueté) and Gleba 11 Municipality of Mbaracayu), highlighting the socio-cultural coexistence with Paraguayan society. The areas studied are not privileged to the analysis of interactions, adaptations, conflicts, ideologies and cultural diversity as an element of identity and synthesis. It was noticed, finally, the possibility of building an understanding of current sociocultural Paraguayan-Brazilian dynamics, it is possible to realize not only the ransformation of the space in which the Brazilians are the modernizing agents of agriculture, with the growth of soybean production in Paraguay, but also changes in non-material culture. Showing up in everyday life are characteristics of identity and otherness construction and reconstruction, this intermingling of cultures. It is a story created and recreated in this new living space.
