Interpretação e atribuição de significado : que pressupostos são relevantes durante o processo de escuta na clínica psicanalítica? Um estudo na perspectiva pragmática

Abstract

Resumo: Nesta tese propomos a análise do modelo de atribuição de significado e interpretação utilizado pelo psicanalista no contexto clínico a partir da perspectiva linguística/pragmática da Teoria da Relevância de Sperber e Wilson (1986/2001). Na primeira parte do nosso trabalho apresentamos o ‘estado de arte’, revisitando algumas das teorias pragmáticas mais significativas e apresentamos também os conceitos e pressupostos básicos da Teoria da Relevância. No terceiro capítulo retornamos à obra freudiana para expormos os conceitos psicanalíticos que fundamentam a forma como o psicanalista interpreta o que o paciente comunica em sessão. Na segunda parte da tese descreveremos a elaboração e aplicação de um estudo de campo com um grupo de 7 psicanalistas, estudo este desenvolvido com a finalidade de coletar dados relativos à forma como os participantes da pesquisa entendem ser um modelo psicanalítico de atribuição de significado em contexto clínico. Finalmente, no capítulo 5, utilizando a Teoria da Relevância como paradigma de análise, realizaremos a discussão dos dados colhidos no estudo de campo e identificamos as principais similaridades e distinções entre o modelo interpretativo psicanalítico e o pragmático.

Abstract: In this dissertation, we propose an analysis of the model of attribution of meaning used by the psychoanalyst in the clinical context with the linguistic/pragmatic perspective of the Relevance Theory developed by Sperber and Wilson (1986/2001). In the first part of the work we present the ‘state of the art’, reviewing some of the most significant pragmatic theories, and we also present the basic concepts and pressupositions of the Relevance Theory. In the second chapter, we revisit the works of Freud, in order to expose the psychoanalystic concepts which are basic to the way psychoanalysts interpret what patients communicate in the sessions. In the third part of the dissertation, we describe the elaboration and the application of a field study with a group of seven psychoanalysts, developed with the aim of gathering data relative to the way subjects understand how a psychoanalytical model of attribution of meaning in the clinical context should be. Finally, in chapter 5, using the Relevance Theory as a paradigm for analysis, we discuss the data collected in the field study and identify the main similarities and differences between the psychoanalytical and the pragmatic model of interpretation.
