Ação coletiva e comissões de trabalhadores em plantas flexíveis : o espaço da política

Abstract

Resumo: As mudanças que se processaram na produção e na organização das fábricas - no contexto das transformações econômicas e políticas dos anos 1980/1990 - ao darem lugar à segmentação, flexibilidade e diversidade, fragmentaram ainda mais as organizações dos trabalhadores, colocando-os em situação de permanente competição, o que dificulta a ação coletiva como se processava em outros tempos. Esse cenário de crise, sobre o qual se produziram teorias divergentes, instigou a pesquisa sobre as organizações dos trabalhadores no interior das fábricas. O estudo da ação coletiva intermediada pelas Comissões de Fábricas da Volvo, VolkswagenAudi e o Comitê Sindical da Renault é perpassado pelas teorias da ação da sociologia clássica e contemporânea, objetivando-se explicar a natureza política das ações dos trabalhadores. A análise das condições que propiciam a ação coletiva demonstra que ela está além da escolha racional defendida pela abordagem teórica individualista. Com uma metodologia qualitativa, aberta e atenta às ambivalências, a presente tese analisa as ações dos trabalhadores no interior das fábricas, demonstrando como as organizações têm contribuído para a melhoria das condições de trabalho, para dinamizar a ação sindical e para se contraporem à tendência de precarização do trabalho. A tese afirma, portanto, que diante das transformações em curso, o capital globalizado tem se deparado com a ação política local dos trabalhadores. Abstract: The transformations in the production and the organization of factories - amidst the wider economical and political changes which took place during the '80s and the '90s - brought to evidence nouns such as segmentation, flexibility and diversity, all of which ended up fragmenting even more the workers' organizations, throwing them in a situation of permanent competition and undermining collective action as it used to happen in other times. This scenario of crisis, upon which several divergent theories were shaped, instigated the research about the workers' organizations inside factories. The study of the collective actions intermediated by Volvo and Volkswagen-Audi Factory Commissions and by Renault's Syndical Committee is related to action theories of both classical and contemporary sociology in order to explain the political nature of the workers' actions. The analysis of the conditions which propitiate the collective actions demonstrates that they're beyond the rational choice defended by the individualist theoretic approach. With a qualitative, broad and ambivalence-aware methodology, the current thesis analyses the workers' actions inside factories, revealing how their organizations have contributed to the improvement of working conditions, to the dynamics of syndical action and to withstand the tendency towards precarious labor. Therefore, the thesis we defend states that, in face of changes currently in course, globalized capital is being confronted by the political actions of local working class.
