The objective of this research is to investigate how these narratives can be used as significant didactic resources for the teaching-learning process in history, articulated with Education for Ethnic-Racial Relations. The investigation is based on the New Cultural History, from the concept of social representation by Roger Chartier. In the field of History Teaching, the contributions of Peter Lee are considered, while in the field of Education for Ethnic-Racial Relations, the theoretical and methodological assumptions of Nilma Lino Gomes and Petronilha Beatriz Gonçalves do Nascimento are discussed, in addition to Law No. 10.639 and the National Curriculum Guidelines for Education on Ethnic-Racial Relations and for the Teaching of Afro-Brazilian and African History and Culture. The methodology adopted is comparative in nature, based on the analysis of three biographical narratives: the memoir Memórias do Distrito Diamantino (1863), the historical novel Xica da Silva (1976), and the historiographical biography Chica da Silva e o contratos - o outro lado do mito (2003). This analysis considers the contexts of production and the representations in each work, in light of the contributions of Lélia Gonzalez. The comparative analysis allowed the identification of continuities, ruptures, and stereotypes, highlighting the need for critical problematization of these narratives in the teaching of History. As a proposition for the teaching of History, four didactic sequences are proposed for the 2nd year of High School, structured from the analysis of historical sources and the comparison of biographical narratives, aiming to promote historical literacy, contribute to the deconstruction of stereotypes, and to value the protagonism of Black women in the History of Brazil
