O papel do professor : reflexões de uma professora PSS sobre o campo docente

Abstract

Resumo: Esta pesquisa parte de uma profunda reflexão sobre meu papel como professora de sociologia na rede pública do Paraná, especificamente da cidade de Curitiba. A partir de minha experiência profissional, busco compreender as diversas perspectivas que envolvem o papel do professor na atualidade. Como professora iniciante, busco definir meus limites profissionais, questionando até onde devo ir para cumprir minhas responsabilidades e percebo que muito além do que o esperado. É necessário ressaltar que o processo de pesquisa foi potencializado pela concomitância do trabalho docente com o de pesquisadora, esse fato é relevante, pois a partir desses dois papéis me mantive em uma situação de alerta quase permanentemente. A partir disso, a observação participante me proporcionou a análise constante do meu ofício, das relações estabelecidas e dos desafios enfrentados. A busca por essa resposta revelou a complexidade do papel docente, exigindo a análise de múltiplas perspectivas. Sendo assim, a problemática levantada sobre "o papel do professor" é analisada a partir de três perspectivas: professores, alunos e governo. A pesquisa de campo foi realizada ao longo de 2023, 2024 e 2025, utilizando o caderno de campo como instrumento principal para registro e análise das minhas experiências e observações em diferentes escolas. As interações com colegas professores e alunos são analisadas, buscando compreender como as relações interpessoais e as dinâmicas escolares influenciam a construção do papel docente. A análise do papel do professor na perspectiva do governo considera o contexto neoliberal e a crescente plataformização da educação, investigando como as políticas educacionais e as tecnologias digitais impactam a prática docente. Espera-se que esta pesquisa contribua para a compreensão das complexas relações que envolvem o papel do professor na educação pública contemporânea, gerando reflexões sobre a prática docente e as políticas educacionais em um contexto de profundas transformações sociais e tecnológicas

Abstract: This research stems from a deep reflection on my role as a Sociology teacher in the public school system of Paraná, specifically in the city of Curitiba. Based on my professional experience, I seek to understand the various perspectives that involve the role of the teacher today. As a beginner teacher, I aim to define my professional boundaries, questioning how far I must go to fulfill my responsibilities, and I realize it is much further than expected. It is necessary to emphasize that the research process was enhanced by the concomitance of teaching work with that of a researcher. This fact is relevant because, from these two roles, I maintained a state of near-permanent alert. Consequently, participant observation provided me with a constant analysis of my profession, the established relationships, and the challenges faced. The search for this answer revealed the complexity of the teaching role, requiring the analysis of multiple perspectives. Therefore, the problem raised about "the role of the teacher" will be analyzed from three perspectives: teachers, students, and the government. The field research was conducted throughout 2023, 2024, and 2025, using the field notebook as the main instrument for recording and analyzing my experiences and observations in different schools. Interactions with fellow teachers and students will be analyzed, seeking to understand how interpersonal relationships and school dynamics influence the construction of the teaching role. The analysis of the teacher's role from the government's perspective will consider the neoliberal context and the growing platformization of education, investigating how educational policies and digital technologies impact teaching practice. It is expected that this research will contribute to the understanding of the complex relationships involving the role of the teacher in contemporary public education, generating reflections on teaching practice and educational policies in a context of profound social and technological transformations
