| pt_BR |
dc.description.abstract | Abstract: This thesis intends to investigate the dissident oligarchic organizations and their agents that were involved in the events that resulted in the 1930 Revolution in Paraná. We understand that oligarchic dissidents were created during the Old Republic and had a turning point in the crisis of the 1920s. We will investigate what were the impacts that the Revolution of 1930 had in the Paraná politics in its organizations and its agents, understanding the politics as a field of struggles between the agents that dispute positions in the political field. The sociological method of investigation relates individuals (or agents) and the social structure (thought from institutions such as political parties, chambers and assemblies). The present thesis seeks to gather biographical information that situates these agents within the social structure. Our theoretical framework is the French sociologist Pierre Bourdieu, who developed the notions of habitus, field and capital. Understanding the 1930 Revolution as a process of "conservative modernization", we will discuss how old oligarch groups in Paraná reconverted their habitus and capitals to adapt to the new "rules of the game" imposed by the 1930 Revolution, namely: centralization and the incorporation of new interests and groups in the political arena. | pt_BR |
