As questões ambientais e a cultura popular : compreensões dos estudantes da educação de jovens e adultos de Araucária

Abstract

Resumo: Esta pesquisa teve como tema de investigação as questões ambientais reveladas pelos estudantes da Educação de Jovens e Adultos - EJA, da Rede Municipal de Ensino de Araucária. Como objetivo se propôs a analisar os conhecimentos revelados por meio da cultura popular para o desenvolvimento de uma proposta de Educação Ambiental Popular. Este objetivo geral desdobrou-se em três objetivos específicos, quais sejam: apreender quais percepções e conhecimentos socioambientais fazem parte do acervo da Cultura Popular dos estudantes da EJA; compreender como se dá ou não, o diálogo da Cultura Popular dos estudantes da EJA com os conhecimentos escolares, na perspectiva de intervir e modificar as relações que estabelecem com a natureza; e, a partir do diálogo freireano com os sujeitos da pesquisa, sistematizar os pressupostos teórico-práticos de uma proposta de Educação Ambiental Popular, como elemento de intervenção na realidade estudada, com vistas à emancipação. O desenvolvimento da problematização teve como fundamento suleador a Educação Popular de Paulo Freire, a partir de dois elementos centrais: a participação e o diálogo. A metodologia utilizada foi o enfoque qualitativo (CRESWELL, 2014), desenvolvida por meio de uma pesquisa participante (BRANDÃO, FREIRE, FALS BORDA, 1988). Tomou como categorias preliminares de análise a participação e o diálogo, fundamentados em Paulo Freire (2003), Buffa, Arroyo e Nosella (2007) e, a Cultura Popular em Brandão e Fagundes (2016) e Fávero (1983). Para coleta dos dados foi utilizada a observação participante, assim como círculos de diálogo e , complementados por entrevistas semi-estruturadas, com registro das informações em notas de campo e protocolo observacional, conforme Creswell (2014). A pesquisa de campo foi realizada no período de agosto a novembro de 2019, em cinco turmas da EJA, de três escolas públicas do municipio de Araucária: Escola Municipal Ayrton Senna da Silva, Escola Municipal Ibraim Antônio Mansur e Escola Municipal Professora Silda Sally Wille Ehlke. O que se pode concluir com a investigação é que os estudantes possuem percepções e conhecimentos ambientais, no entanto o diálogo entre esses saberes com a escola quase não ocorre, indicando portanto a importância de se estabelecer a escuta como um lugar comum na relação entre estudantes e educadores. Como resultado geral da investigação, foram sistematizados elementos estruturantes para o desenvolvimento de uma proposta de Educação Ambiental Popular. PALAVRAS-CHAVE: Participação. Diálogo. Abstract: This research had as its theme the environmental issues revealed by the students of Youth and Adult Education - EJA, of the Municipal Education Network of Araucária. The objective was to analyze the knowledge revealed through popular culture for the development of a proposal of Popular Environmental Education. This general objective unfolded into three specific objectives, which are: to apprehend which perceptions and socio-environmental knowledge are part of the collection of Popular Culture of EJA students; to understand how the dialogue of Popular Culture of EJA students with school knowledge is given or not, from the perspective of intervening and modifying the relationships they establish with nature; and, from the Freirean dialogue with the subjects of the research, to systematize the theoretical-practical assumptions of a proposal of Popular Environmental Education, as an element of intervention in the reality studied, with a view to emancipation. The development of the problematization had as base the Popular Education of Paulo Freire, from two central elements: the participation and the dialogue. The methodology used was the qualitative approach (CRESWELL, 2014), developed through a participant research (BRANDÃO, f Re IRE, FALS BORDA, 1988). It took as preliminary categories of analysis participation and dialogue, based on Paulo Freire (2003), Buffa, Arroyo and Nosella (2007) and, Popular Culture in Brandão and Fagundes (2016) and Fávero (1983). For data collection, participant observation was used, as well as dialogue circles and, complemented by semi-structured interviews, with information recorded in field notes and observational protocol, according to Creswell (2014). The field research was conducted from August to November 2019 in five EJA classes of three public schools in the municipality of Araucaria: Ayrton Senna da Silva Municipal School, Ibraim Antônio Mansur Municipal School and Silda Sally Wille Ehlke Municipal School. What can be concluded from the research is that the students have environmental perceptions and knowledge, however the dialogue between this knowledge and the school hardly occurs, indicating therefore the importance of establishing listening as a common place in the relationship between students and educators. As a general result of the investigation, structural elements were systematized for the development of a proposal of Popular Environmental Education. KEY WORDS: Participation. Dialogue.
