As mulheres chefes de domicílio na Vila de Nossa Senhora da Luz dos Pinhais de Curitiba (1776-1797)

Abstract

Resumo: Os estudos sobre a figura feminina no passado têm ganhado espaço nos debates das Ciências Humanas durante os últimos tempos, mas ainda há muito o que ser dito, e contestado, sobre a mulher que vivia na colônia de Portugal na América. Sendo assim, o presente trabalho aborda o tema da chefia de domicílios exercida por mulheres, tendo como objetivo produzir conhecimento sobre a vivência feminina na segunda metade do século XVIII, assim como sobre o termo "chefe", nesse contexto da Vila de Nossa Senhora da Luz dos Pinhais de Curitiba, a partir de documentos seriais (Listas Nominativas de Habitantes) e das orientações da Micro-história italiana, da História Social e da História das Mulheres. Faz-se assim, uma reflexão sobre os papéis femininos no costume do Antigo Regime implantado na colônia, buscando expandir as possibilidades de interpretação histórica do período. No primeiro capítulo, "A mulher no espaço e na historiografia: contexto histórico e produção historiográfica sobre o feminino", há o aprofundamento do debate sobre o contexto da Vila de Curitiba, e sobre o desenvolvimento da presença feminina na historiografia - primeiro com a História da Família e, posteriormente, com a História das Mulheres. No segundo capítulo, "As mulheres do Setecentos segundo as Ordenações Filipinas e as Constituições Primeiras do Arcebispado da Bahia - uma análise crítica", é feita uma investigação sobre as interpretações que a Igreja católica e o Direito do século XVIII possuíam sobre as mulheres, analisando as duas fontes documentais de época citadas, para possibilitar a reflexão acerca da legitimidade da chefia feminina; e a natureza do termo "chefia", a partir do conceito persona trabalhado por Bartolomé Clavero. Por fim, em "O domicílio e as chefes: Vila de Curitiba, 1776 a 1797" estão expostos os dados coletados e organizados sobre todo o período, dividindo as chefes por sua condição civil, cor, propriedades, etc, além de ressaltar a formação habitacional na qual se encontrava no momento da feitura das Listas Nominativas de Habitantes. A partir desse estudo posso afirmar que a chefia feminina era normal na Vila de Curitiba, na segunda metade do Setecentos: independentemente da condição social da mulher, a maioria delas tinha acesso à pessoas aptas a prover o sustento da casa, quando elas não o faziam por si mesmas. ABSTRACT: The studies about the feminine figure in the past has been getting importance on the Human Science's debates during the last couple of years, but there are still a lot more to say, and talk, about the women that lived in the Portugal's american colony. Therefore, this reasearch approach the theme of the leadership of domicilies made by women, and it aims to produce knowledge about their ways of living in the second half of the enghteenth century, and also about the term "leadership" in itself, in the Vila de Nossa Senhora da Luz dos Pinhais de Curitiba's context, through serial documents (Listas Nominativas de Habitantes) and from the italian Micro history's orientations, Social History and Women's History. Accordingly, it was made a reflection about the women's roles as understood in the Ancient Regime's traditions, as was implanted in the colony, as a way to expand the possibilities of interpretation of the history of the period of time. In the first chapter, "A mulher no espaço e na historiografia: contexto histórico e produção historiográfica sobre o feminino", the debates about the context of Vila de Curitiba and the development of the female presence at the historiography - first with the Family's History and next with the Women's History. In the second chapter, "As mulheres do Setecentos segundo as Ordenações Filipinas e as Constituições Primeiras do Arcebispado da Bahia - uma análise crítica", there is a investigation about how the Catholic Church and the Law from the enghteenth century views the women, analising the two documents already mentioned in the title, so the reflextion about the legitimacy of the female leadership; and the nature of the term "leadership" based on the Bartolomé Clavero's concept persona. At the end, in "O domicílio e as chefes: Vila de Curitiba, 1776 a 1797", there is the data colected and organised about the whole period of time, dividing the leaders by their civil status, colour, properties, etc., beyond highlighting the housing formation in which they were at the moment of the confection of the Listas Nominativas de Habitantes. From this study is possible to confirm that the female leadership was normal at the Vila de Curitiba, in the second half of the enghteenth century: independently of the woman's social condition, the majority of them had acess to people able to sustain the house, when they didn't do it by themselves.
