O pescador artesanal em Pontal do Sul : um olhar de resistência

Abstract

Resumo: Este trabalho de dissertação teve por finalidade estudar os conflitos que envolvem os territórios e cercam as territorialidades dos pescadores artesanais de Pontal do Sul. Aponta para algumas chaves interpretativas dos mesmos, especialmente sobre o período que precede a construção da rodovia que viabilizaria a implantação de um complexo portuário industrial na região. Para isso, fez-se necessário revisitar alguns dos motivos de tensão numa perspectiva socioambiental, elaborando a reflexão a partir dos lugares marcados do grupo social, na tentativa de situar esta pesquisa o mais próxima possível da realidade. Estas dimensões foram estudadas a partir dos referenciais teóricos da sociologia rural, da etnografia e das ciências ambientais. Para tanto, foi escolhida a etnofotografia como método e se serve da antropologia para revelar algumas das representações sobre os imaginários socialmente partilhados pela comunidade. O uso da imagem como instrumento analítico reporta a sua condição de produto e produtora de significados que remetem a percepção de uma estrutura social e a narrativa visual potencializa às interpretações. Assim, partimos da observação de como o pescador artesanal se insere ali, e as suas perspectivas através da ótica dos conflitos que envolvem seus modos de vida, analisando a importância de seus saberes na conservação e preservação do ambiente num contexto histórico. Abstract: This dissertation aimed to study the conflicts that surround the territories and the territorialities of the artisanal fishermen of Pontal do Sul. It shows to some interpretative points of the fishermen, especially on the period that precedes the construction of the highway that would make feaxible the implantation of a industrial port complex in the region. In order to do so, it was necessary to revisit some of the reasons that envolve the socioenvironmental perspective, by elaborating the reflection from the marked places of the social group, in an attempt to situate this research as close to reality as possible. These dimensions were studied from the theoretical references of rural sociology, ethnography and environmental sciences. For this purpouse, ethnography was chosen as a method and used anthropology to reveal some of the representations about the imaginary socially shared by the community. The use of the photos as an analytical instrument reports its condition of product and producer of meanings that remit the perception of a social structure and the visual narrative potentiates the interpretations. Thus, we start from the observation of how the artisanal fishermen is inserted in Pontal do Sul, and their perspectives through the perspective of the conflicts that surround his ways of life, analyzing the importance of his knowledge in the conservation and preservation of the environment in a historical context.
