A escola de aprendizes artífices do Paraná : "viveiro de homens aptos e úteis" (1910-1928)

Abstract

Resumo: A presente dissertação situa-se na esteira dos Estudos em História da Educação brasileira e abarca a Escola de Aprendizes Artífices do Paraná, entre 1910-1928, anos nos quais foi Diretor Paulo Ildefonso d'Assumpção. Tomando como tema central deste estudo a criança pobre - o menor - investiguei como a Escola de Aprendizes Artífices do Paraná tratou de inseri-la nos ideais de regeneração pelo trabalho, tirando-a da menoridade para alçá-la a futuro trabalhador ordeiro e útil a si e à nação. Servi-me dos Relatórios da Escola elaborados pelo Diretor, além de Minutas e Pastas de Ofícios. Utilizei também os textos elaborados por Paulo Ildefonso d' Assumpção e publicados no jornal paranaense "A República", bem como reportagens sobre a Escola de Aprendizes Artífices divulgadas neste mesmo jornal e no "Diário da Tarde".

Abstract: This dissertation follows researches of Brazilian Education History and holds the Craftsman Learners School of Paraná, between 1910 and 1928, when the institution was directed by Paulo Ildefonso d'Assumpção. This research has as its central theme the poor children - under aged - and investigates how the Craftsman Learners School of Paraná worked in order to inserted such element on ideals of regeneration by the work, taking it away from its minority to forward ordering and useful working, for itself and to nation. It based itself into School reports, which had been elaborated by the Director, besides memorandum and portfolios. Texts elaborated by Paulo Ildefonso d'Assumpção and published in the paranaense newspaper "A República" had been used to this research, as well as other texts about Craftsman Learners School of Paraná publicized by the same newspaper and by "Diário da Tarde".
