O Parque Bacacheri e seus arranjos sociais : a relação entre o lazer e o uso da maconha

Abstract

Resumo: Esta pesquisa buscou compreender os arranjos sociais e as tensões inerentes no uso de um parque público da cidade de Curitiba. O trabalho teve como objetivo identificar quais as possíveis influências que práticas como especialmente o uso da maconha, podem alterar a rotina de atividades do Parque Bacacheri, quando se trata da apropriação de seus espaços de lazer. A pesquisa teve sustentação teórica a partir dos temas sobre a maconha; a teoria do lazer anormal e o conceito de lazer desviante. Como suporte, nos valemos das contribuições de autores da área da Psicologia, Sociologia e Educação Física. Tratamos de definir nesse trabalho, os conceitos de cidade, lazer, espaço público e comportamento desviantes, assim como lazer anormal. O marco metodológico foi sob a perspectiva de uma abordagem qualitativa, com registro de observações sistemáticas em diário de campo e entrevistas semiestruturadas com os frequentadores assíduos do parque, para isso foram criadas as seguintes categorias de análise: o Parque Bacacheri e o fenômeno do lazer; os arranjos do parque em dia de semana: um equilíbrio; os (des)arranjos dos finais de semana no parque: uma tensão; o acordo silencioso que expulsa. Os participantes incluídos para as entrevistas nessa pesquisa foram de forma voluntária, e como condição para tanto, deveriam ser frequentadores do Parque Bacacheri, maiores de idade, com assiduidade igual ou superior a duas vezes por semana no parque. Pudemos constatar que a população entrevistada, moradora do entorno e que frequenta o parque, em sua grande maioria se incomoda com o fato de presenciar e conviver com adeptos do uso da maconha nos espaços do parque. Os mesmos afirmaram não frequentar mais o parque aos finais de semana, principalmente aos domingos, por fatores como a superlotação do parque e a diminuição da percepção de segurança. Por outro lado, os adeptos do uso da maconha que foram entrevistados relataram que se sentem no direito de se apropriar dos espaços públicos da cidade, incluindo o parque Bacacheri. Dizem escolher esses espaços para fumar maconha, pois almejam o contato com a natureza e com a beleza do lugar, como também se sentem mais seguros nesses espaços. E acreditam ainda que o fato do uso da maconha em espaços públicos, já está sendo mais tolerado pela população em geral.

Abstract: This research intended to understand the social arrangements and the inherent tensions in the use of a public park in the city of Curitiba. The study aimed to identify possible influences practices as especially marijuana use, may change the routine activities of the Bacacheri Park, when it comes to the ownership of its leisure facilities. The research have had theoretical support from the themes of marijuana; the theory of abnormal leisure and the concept of deviant leisure. As support, we benefit from the authors' contributions in the area of Psychology, Sociology and Physical Education. We approach in this work, the concepts of city, leisure, public space and deviant behavior, as well as abnormal leisure. The methodological framework was from the perspective of a qualitative approach, with record systematic observations in a field diary and semistructured interviews with regular users of the park, for this the following analytical categories were created: the Bacacheri Park and the leisure phenomenon; the park arrangements on weekdays: a balance; the (dis) arrangements of weekends in the park: a tension; the unspoken agreement that expels. The people included in the interviews for this survey were voluntarily, and as a condition to do so, they should be Bacacheri Park's goers, of legal age, with attendance of twice a week or more in the park. We observed that the interviewed population, the ones who live nearby and the frequent users of the park, most of them feel bothered with the constant marijuana use in the park spaces. According to them, they don't frequent the park on weekends, especially on Sundays, due the overcrowding of the park and decreased perception of safety. On the other hand, the supporters of marijuana use that were interviewed reported that they feel entitled to appropriate the public spaces of the city, including the Bacacheri Park. According to them, they choose these areas for smoking marijuana, because they crave for nature contact and the beauty of the place, and also feel safer in these spaces. And believe that the marijuana use in public spaces is already being more tolerated by the general population.
