Folclore, cultura e patrimônio : da produção social do(s) fandango(s)

Abstract

Resumo: O objeto desta dissertação é o "Fandango Caiçara", uma manifestação musical encontrada no litoral norte do Paraná e no litoral sul paulista, e que recentemente foi declarada patrimônio cultural brasileiro de natureza imaterial. Neste trabalho procuramos restituir a trajetória social desta manifestação musical e das suas diferentes apropriações ao longo do tempo por folcloristas, produtores culturais, especialistas em patrimônio e pelas "populações tradicionais caiçaras". Ao evidenciarmos como são produzidos os predicados do fandango ("tradicional", "folclórico", "patrimônio cultural", "conhecimento tradicional caiçara") procuramos mostrar como o fandango não tem uma natureza definida a priori e que a estabilização da sua natureza é justamente a tarefa à qual se dedicam diversos atores, como folcloristas, fandangueiros, ambientalistas, produtores culturais, especialistas em patrimônio, etc. Palavras-chave: fandango; folclore; patrimônio imaterial; caiçaras.

Abstract: The object of this dissertation is the "Fandango Caiçara", a musical manifestation found in the northern coast of Paraná and in the southern coast of São Paulo, that was recently declared as Brazilian intangible cultural heritage. In this work, we seek to restore the social trajectory of this musical manifestation and its different allocations over the time for folklorists, cultural producers, patrimony experts and the native populations "caiçaras". Our goal is to show how the same musical manifestation can be configured in different ways, depending on the agency of historical set of people and ideas. As we argued, the attributes and predicates applied to the idea of "fandango" are tributaries of certain social processes. Thus, we seek to show how the "fandango" has not a defined nature a priori, whereas the stabilization of its nature is rightly seen as the task to which are engaged several actors, and therefore, what is wanted to ethnography here: the process of composition/creation/stabilization of the "fandango".
