Isso aqui pra mim é vida : memória, história, pesca e desastre ambiental numa configuração social (Amparo, Paraná, 1940-2010)

Resumo: O objetivo do trabalho consiste em compreender qual o significado conferido à pesca na Ilha do Amparo e como os pescadores sentiram o acidente do navio Vicuña em 2004. A Ilha do Amparo está localizada no município de Paranaguá no Litoral do Paraná. Em 15 de novembro de 2004 ocorreu o acidente do Navio Vicuña na cidade de Paranaguá. O acidente provocou um vazamento aproximado de 290 mil toneladas de óleo combustível que causou a morte de peixes, pássaros, mariscos e a proibição da pesca por 51 dias. Após o acidente foram realizados estudos, relatórios de impacto ambiental e dadas compensações aos pescadores pelos danos causados. Tais medidas veiculadas nos documentos do acidente e nos jornais locais não abordam a respeito de como os grupos humanos de pescadores vivenciaram o acidente. Diante dessas questões a problemática do trabalho é compreender como os pescadores de Amparo vivenciaram o acidente do Navio Vicuña em 2004. Para embasar nossa proposta utilizamos da metodologia em história oral e das reflexões teóricas de Maurice Halbwachs, Henri Bergson, Michael Pollack e do conceito de configuração social presente na obra de Norbert Elias. Nossas fontes são entrevistas realizadas com pescadores da Ilha do Amparo, entrevistas com representantes de Colônias de pescadores, documentos do acidente de 2004, documentos do século XIX que tratam da presença de grupos de pescadores lavradores na Baía de Paranaguá, bibliografia que trata da temática da pesca e da notícia de acidentes ambientais ocorridos em outros países. O acidente de 2004 foi sentido em mudanças no mar, no desaparecimento de espécies de peixes, nas relações de poder e no modo de vida dos pescadores. Abstract: The purpose of the work is to understand what is the meaning given to the fishing on Amparo Island and how the fishermen felt the Vicuña ship incident in 2004. Amparo Island is located at the city of Paranaguá, in Parana's Coast. In November 15th of 2004, the incident of Vicuña ship has occurred in the city of Paranaguá. The accident caused a leaking of 290.000 tonnes of fuel oil that caused the death of fishs, birds, shellfishs and the prohibition of fishing for 51 days. After the incident, were performed studies, environmental impact reports and compensations were given to the fishermen for the damages caused. Such measures conveyed in the documents of the accident and in the local newspapers don't address as to how the fishing communities experienced the incident. On these issues, the work's problematic is to comprehend how the fishermen of Amparo experienced the accident of the ship Vicuña in 2004. To support our proposal we make use of the oral history methodology and the theorical reflections of Maurice Halbwachs, Henri Bergson and Michael Pollack, and the configuration concept present in the work of Norbert Elias. Our sources are enterviews made with the fishermen from Amparo Island, enterviews with representatives of fishermen Colonies, documents from the accident of 2004, documents from 19th Century that delas with the presence of fishermen groups, farmers in Paranagua Bay, bibliography that deals with the thematic of fishing and the news of environmental incidents occurred in other countries. The accident of 2004 was sensed by the changings in the sea, the disappearance of fish's species, in the relations and in their life style.
