O desenvolvimento da dimensão ambiental pelos professores de geografia de 5ª a 8ª séries do ensino fundamental em escolas municipais de Araucária

Abstract

Resumo: Este trabalho tem por objetivo avaliar o processo educativo quanto à relação Educação Ambiental educação geográfica no ensino fundamental. Na Introdução, são focalizadas as questões ambiental e educacional no contexto do ambientalismo. Destacam-se as principais conferências e encontros sobre Educação Ambiental em nível mundial. São também enfocados dispositivos e diretrizes de Educação Ambiental sob os aspectos legal e curricular no Brasil. O Capítulo I estabelece, inicialmente, contextualização do problema em estudo no sentido de mostrar iniciativas em Educação Ambiental no Paraná, bem como reforçar a necessidade de ensino dessa dimensão no processo educativo no município de Araucária. No Capítulo II é tratado o referencial teórico do estudo, primeiramente na perspectiva de uma reflexão sobre as questões teóricometodológicas da Educação Ambiental. Numa segunda parte, destaca-se a Educação Ambiental em conexão com a educação geográfica, partindo das próprias relações entre Geografia, enquanto ciência, com a questão ambiental. O Capítulo III apresenta a metodologia da pesquisa de campo, que se caracteriza como diagnóstico-qualitativa quanto ao desenvolvimento da dimensão ambiental pelos professores de Geografia de 5a. a 8a. séries do ensino fundamental em escolas municipais de Araucária. No tratamento dos dados foi utilizada a técnica da análise de conteúdo. O Capítulo IV traz a análise interpretativa dos dados de campo com base no referencial teórico do estudo. E, finalmente, o Capítulo V apresenta as considerações finais do trabalho em termos de síntese dos resultados da análise e as considerações indicativas para o desenvolvimento da Educação Ambiental na disciplina de Geografia nas escolas dê 5a. - 8a. séries do ensino fundamental. Abstract: This dissertation aims at an evaluation of the educational process in terms of the existing relation between Environmental Education an georaphy education in elementary school. In the introductory part, education en environment are focused, on an environmetalism basis. The main conferences and encounters on Environmental Education taking place around the world are highlighted. The devices and aims of Environmental Education are also observed, under its legal and curricular aspects in Brazil. Chapter I establishes an initial contextualization of the estudy problem, with the purpose of showing efforts on Evironmental Education in Paraná, as well as enhancing the need of such dimension in the educational process, focusing at the couty of Araucária. In chapter II, the theoretical reference of the estudy is set, first on the perspective of a consideration on the teheoretical-methodological issues of Environmental Education. In a second part, one highlights the Environmental Education in relation to geography education, based on the relationship between Geography as a science and the environmental issue. Chapter III presents the methology of the field work, which is characterized as a qualitative diagnostic one, in relation to the developmentof the environmental dimension by Geography teachers from 5th to 6th grades of elementary education in couty school of Araucária. In order to deal with data, the content analisys technique was used. Chapter IV brings the i interpretation of field data, having as a basis the theory used in the estudy. Finally, chapter V presents the final consideration of the work, in terms of a synthesis of the results in connection to the objectives and hypotesis, as well as it indicates directions to the development of Environmental Education in the Geography classes in school dealing with 5t h to 8t h grades of elementary education.
