A identidade do movimento Hip-Hop curitibano a partir da análise do discurso de letras de música de Rap

Abstract

Resumo: A partir da analise do discurso de letras de raps curitibanos pretende-se verificar se os rappers, integrantes do Movimento Hip-Hop, apreenderam, ou não, o discurso construído da representação e imagem criada para Curitiba; e se isso interferiu na caracterização do rap paranaense, bem como na criação da identidade dos jovens integrantes desse movimento, uma vez que esta está relacionada a como esses jovens de comunidades marginalizadas são vistos e buscam serem vistos pela sociedade. Para atingir tal objetivo, é apresentada a história da representação da identidade cultural da cidade de Curitiba, visto que a presença de imigrantes europeus, a teoria do branqueamento, o Movimento Paranista e o planejamento urbano, interferiram na construção da identidade cultural dessa cidade, criando a ideia de Curitiba de cultura europeia, Cidade de Primeiro Mundo. Como oposição a essa imagem, será caracterizado o Movimento Hip-Hop e seu elemento rap, uma vez que este, desde 1990, vem tentando mostrar a realidade social da periferia de Curitiba e Região Metropolitana e se apresenta como porta-voz da população excluída pelas representações e imagens positivas da cidade. Além disso, como fundamentação teórica, será utilizada a teoria da Análise do Discurso segundo a perspectiva de Dominique Maingueneau, e os conceitos por ele acionados de Heterogeneidade, Cena da enunciação e Ethos. A escolha desse campo teórico justifica-se pelo fato de que ele nos permite refletir e interpretar a relação homem-história-sociedade por meio do discurso, possibilitando, assim, verificar se existem vestígios do processo histórico-social do Paraná e se esses interferiram na identidade do rap curitibano.

Abstract: This study, based on the discourse analysis of Curitibano rap lyrics, aimed to investigate whether the rappers, linked to the Hip-hop Movement, apprehended or not the discourse that was built to create a representation and imagery of Curitiba. Besides, we intend to verify if it interferes on the characterizations of the Parana rap music, as well as on the creation of the movement's identity, once it is related to how those boys and girls, belonging to marginalized neighborhoods, are seen - and how they try to be seen - by the society as a whole. To attain that goal, we bring up the history of the representation of the cultural identity of the city of Curitiba, as the presence of Europeans immigrants, the Whitening Theory, the Paranist Movement and the urban planning influenced the construction of the cultural identity of that city, generating the conception of an European culture Curitiba, a first world city. In opposition to that image, this work will characterize the Hip-hop Movement and its rap element, considering that since 1990, it has been trying to show the social reality of the outskirts of Curitiba and its metropolitan area, presenting itself as the mouthpiece of the population who has been outcasted by the positive representations and images of the city. The theoretical recital of this work is the Discourse Analysis according to Dominique Maingueneau's perspective, and his concepts of heterogeneity, enunciation scene and ethos. The choice of this theoretical field is due to the fact that it allows to reflect and interpret the relation man-history-society through the discourse. This enables us, besides, to investigate tracks of the historical social process of Paraná and to verify if they interfere in the identity of Curitibano rap.
