A progressão referencial-anafórica na fala cotidiana
Abstract
Abstract : This dissertation in the Text Linguistics field discusses the referential and anaphoric process in oral text production. It aims to understand how the referential progression in everyday speech works. It's assumed the referenciation in the terms of Mondada and Dubois (2003) as the main conception, which implies the referent as a discourse object i.e. it is built textually. In this way. the referent introduced in the text may be abandoned, reactivated, enriched, fragmented, taking into account, for instance, the pre-textual word meaning, interlocutor negotiation, situational context, knowledge of language, world and shared world knowledge. The discourse object construction does not depend on a correspondent object existence in the real and extra-textual world. Another crucial conception is anaphora, exposed by Marcuschi and Koch (2002), in their proposal of an extended conception for this phenomenon. According to them, the anaphoric element, when building its referent, may be hooked in an explicit lexical item in the previous cotext or in the subsequent one. It also .may be hooked in cotextuallv difused information, or even the referent can be built without the presence of any of that information. The hypothesis assumed in this study is that the anaphora, in such an extended view, is a strategy used in the discourse object construction and in the referential progression process. It is used corpus texts from the VARSUL (Urban Language Variation in Brazil's South Region) Data Base.
