O que vocês fazem aqui? : gênero e qualificação profissional em cursos do PRONATEC

Abstract

Resumo : O presente trabalho vem nos situar diante da atual posição da mulher no mundo do trabalho, das dificuldades em relação ao gênero e ao preconceito que cerca toda a formação profissional. Estruturamos uma discussão sobre os principais pontos em torno da feminilização e masculinização de funções, assim como a importância da formação continuada para que os docentes possam debater com seus alunos a respeito do gênero e quebrar com a reprodução de valores evidentes no cotidiano. Em relação à pesquisa empírica, os sujeitos de pesquisa são mulheres que participam do Programa Nacional de Acesso ao Ensino Técnico e Emprego (PRONATEC), e que se viram diante da oportunidade de cursarem uma área predominantemente masculina. Nos interessa compreender quais as dificuldades e preconceitos encontrados e como lidaram com cada barreira. O estudo permite afirmar que a mulher, como minoria e ser reprimido, busca seu espaço e a confirmação de que é capaz de realizar funções designadas aos homens.

Abstract : This work is about the current position of women in the workplace, the difficulties in relation to gender and prejudice surrounding the whole professional training. We structure a discussion of the major points around the feminization and masculinization of functions. As well as the importance of continuing education to enable teachers to discuss gender with their students and to break with thereproduction of values evident in everyday life. Regarding the empirical research the subjects are women training part in the National Programme of the acess to thecnicol education and job (PRONATEC), who got the opportunity to study in male dominated area we are interested in understanding, what are the difficulties and prejudices encountered and how they dealt with each barrier. The study allows to affirm that the woman, as minory and repressed bring, is seeting its place and the confirmation that she is capable of performing function assigned to men.
