Conselho de Classe e gestão democrática

Abstract

Resumo : Este estudo tem como objetivo discutir, no contexto educacional de gestão democrática, a importância da participação de diferentes segmentos da comunidade escolar no Conselho de Classe. Para compreender a importância deste órgão constituinte do ambiente escolar, foi realizada pesquisa sobre sua construção histórica, sua função enquanto instância colegiada de avaliação e organização do trabalho escolar. Com o objetivo de identificar a configuração atual de participação dos segmentos no momento do Conselho, foi realizado levantamento de dados através de questionário. Este foi aplicado aos estabelecimentos de uma das setorizações da rede estadual de ensino da cidade de Curitiba, com questões relacionadas à participação, avaliação de importância de participação e ações realizadas na democratização deste espaço. Também realizada entrevista com alguns dos segmentos para procurar compreender o entendimento destes sujeitos em relação ao Conselho de Classe. Após a análise dos dados concluiu-se que ainda não existe uma maior participação dos diferentes segmentos da comunidade escolar no momento do Conselho de Classe, que nem todos compreendem a importância da abertura dos espaços. No entanto, existem ações pontuais com o objetivo de maior participação, ações estas que exigem preparação, conhecimento e comprometimento de todos os sujeitos envolvidos no processo. É fato que existe a necessidade de ampliar o espaço para decisões coletivas no ambiente escolar como estratégia para que a escola cumpra seu papel social na busca por uma sociedade mais igualitária.

Abstract : This study aims to discuss, in the educational context of democratic management, the importance of the participation of different segments of the school community in the Class Council. To understand the importance of this constituent body of the school environment, research was carried out on its historic building, its function as a collegiate body of evaluation and organization of school work. Aiming to identify the current configuration of participation of the segments at the time of the Council was held data collection through a questionnaire. This was applied to establishments of one sector of the state schools in the city of Curitiba, on issues related to participation, evaluation of importance of participation and democratization actions taken in this area. It was also conducted interviews with some of the segments, to try to understand the knowledge of these subjects in relation to the Class Council. After analyzing the data it was concluded that there is still no greater participation of different segments of the school community at the Class Council, that not everyone understands the importance of opening spaces to participation. However, there are specific actions with the goal of greater participation, these actions that require preparation, knowledge and commitment of all those involved in the process. It is true that there is a need to expand the space for collective decisions in the school environment as a strategy for the school to fulfill its social role in the search for a more egalitarian society.
