O controle litoestrutural na organização espacial da bacia do rio Tagaçaba (Paraná) : uma análise morfométrica da rede de drenagem

Abstract

Resumo: O objetivo deste estudo é identificar a existência e a natureza do controle litoestrutural na organização espacial da bacia hidrográfica do rio Tagaçaba, característica de região montanhosa. Como é sabido, as propriedades lito-estruturais do substrato geológico exercem controle sobre a organização espacial da rede de drenagem; assim, quer-se avaliar a natureza e a intensidade desse controle na organização da rede hidrográfica de uma bacia esculpida em uma área serrana. Dado que a configuração geomorfológica de uma bacia hidrográfica determina e é determinada por um conjunto de relações entre as propriedades do seu ambiente e os processos hidrogeológicos, este estudo pode fornecer uma contribuição para melhor compreender-se o funcionamento de bacias hidrográficas de regiões montanhosas. A identificação e compreensão da natureza do controle estrutural sobre a organização espacial interna de uma bacia hidrográfica, bem como o conhecimento de sua fisiografia, permitem entender melhor suas relações com os processos hidrológicos e, portanto, também o potencial de energia das correntes fluviais. O conhecimento dessas informações contribui para a tarefa de melhor planejar o uso racional dos recursos naturais e a ocupação do solo.

Abstract: The objective of this study is to identify the existence and the nature of the litostructural control in the space organisation of the hydrographical basin of theTagaçaba River, a basin of highlands. As it is known the lito-structural properties of the geologic substratum exert control on the space organisation of the draining network; so, this work wants to evaluate the nature and intensity of this control in the organisation of thehydrographical network of a basin sculptured on highlands areas.Considering that the geomorphologic pattern of a hydrographical basindetermines and is determined by a set of relations between the hydrogeologicalproperties of its environment and its processes, this study can supply a contribution better to understand the functioning of highland’s hydrographical basins. The identification and understanding of the nature of the structural control on the internal space organisation of a hydrographical basin, as well as the knowledgeof its fisiographic faces, allow to also understand better the relations with thehydrologic processes and therefore the potential of energy of fluvial currents. The knowledge of these information contributes in the task of better planning the rational use of the natural resources and soil occupation.
