Como os sons contam a história no capitulo da extinção do Gueto de Varsóvia do filme A Lista de Schindler

Abstract

Resumo: O objetivo principal deste estudo é analisar os elementos sonoros presentes no capítulo referente à Extinção do Gueto de Varsóvia, parte integrante do filme A lista de Schindler (1993), dirigido por Steven Spielberg. Através dessa análise, o estudo verificou como o som foi utilizado no filme para representar os depoimentos dos sobreviventes constantes do livro no qual o filme se baseou, como contribuem para a construção da narrativa e como são sincronizados com as imagens para potencializar a narrativa do filme. Como fundamentação teórica, é apresentada uma breve história do cinema e da evolução e constituição das trilhas sonoras, contextualizando a sua importância e trazendo uma compreensão mais ampla do papel do som na narrativa cinematográfica. A metodologia adotada para a análise foi a proposta por López Hernández, que combina abordagens qualitativas e quantitativas para a análise de documentos filmicos. Ao fim da análise, é feita uma proposta de organização da trilha sonora do capítulo na forma musical de tema e variações

Abstract: The main objective of this study is to analyze the sound elements present in the chapter on the Elimination of the Warsaw Ghetto, an integral part of the film Schindler's List (1993), directed by Steven Spielberg. Through this analysis, the study verified how sound was used in the film to represent the testimonies of survivors contained in the book on which the film was based, how they contribute to the construction of the narrative and how they are synchronized with the images to enhance the film's narrative. As a theoretical basis, a brief history of cinema and the evolution and constitution of soundtracks is presented, contextualizing their importance and providing a broader understanding of the role of sound in cinematic narrative. The methodology adopted for the analysis was that proposed by López Hernández, which combines qualitative and quantitative approaches for the analysis of film documents.
