Linguagem e representaçao no ensaio O Narrador, de Walter Benjamin

Abstract

Resumo: O presente trabalho pretende unir uma reflexão sobre o ensaio O narrador, de Walter Benjamin, com elementos presentes em outras épocas de sua obra, tais como: uma teoria da linguagem, uma crítica ao conceito de experiência iluminista, uma suposta teoria do conhecimento e a referência a outros modos de conhecimento diferentes do modo iluminista. Nesse sentido, além da exposição concisa desses elementos, busca-se reconhecê-los nas entrelinhas do ensaio O narrador, já que este não os tem por tema principal. Com isso, pretende-se, por meio de um ensaio da maturidade do autor, observar os fundamentos do pensamento benjaminiano e, também, como eles, além de não contradizerem o referido ensaio, contribuem para a compreensão do seu pensamento como um todo. Esse pensamento, por sua vez, contém uma desconstrução do modo de conhecimento iluminista, assim como a idéia de um alargamento da razão das luzes. Desse modo, compreende-se como o narrador toma-se figura eminente e representante da sabedoria, da mesma forma que aproxima filosofia e literatura, justificando o fato da primeira seguir por meio da segunda o seu movimento em busca da verdade. Justifica-se, assim, a sua maneira de escrever e o fato de fazer filosofia através de uma forma na qual confundem-se filosofia e crítica literária.

Abstract: This present paper aims to unite a reflection on "The Narrator" by Walter Benjamin with other elements presented in other of his works like: language theory, a criticism on the conception of illuminist experience, a knowledge theory and the reference to other different ways of the illuminist knowledge way. In this way, besides the reduced exposition oh these elements, we will try to know through the underlines of The Narrator's eassy , once this essay does not present those elements as the mean theme. With this, we intend through his maturity to observe the fundaments of Benjamin's thoughts and also how they, although they don't contradict the present essay, contribute to the understanding of their thoughts as a whole. This thought keeps a DESCONSTRUÇÃO of the illuminist knowledge way, in the same way as the ideas of a enlargement of the lights reason. This way, we understand how the narrator becomes an eminent character who represents the wisdom in the same way of gets closer philosophy and literature, justifying the fact that the philosophy follows through the literature's way its movement in search of the truth. This also justifies its way of writing and the fact of make philosophy through the way where philosophy and literature criticism may be the same.
