Antropoceno e queda da

Abstract

Resumo: Esta dissertação busca investigar, no contexto da crise ambiental generalizada e antropogênica, qual é esta humanidade de agência catastrófica – a que coletividade se refere, o que lhe é próprio. Entre duas diferentes narrativas da crise ambiental, quais sejam, a definição científica de Antropoceno e a profecia xamânica da Queda do Céu, se desenham agências humanas com contornos distintos: de um lado, uma Humanidade que se eleva sobre a Natureza como força geológica, de outro, o Povo da Mercadoria, grupo cujo comportamento predatório e canibal desencadeia reações multiespecíficas. Recusando a procura por uma definição universal de humanidade – seja na generalidade da espécie, no universal negativo de vitimados por uma catástrofe ou no pertencimento a uma única Natureza comum –, propomos neste trabalho, com base na acepção pluriontológica da existência de múltiplas naturezas e seus diversos entes humanos e não-humanos dotados de história e agência própria, uma análise contra-antropológica dos humanos causadores da crise ambiental. Através de perspectivas outras, identificamos que esta humanidade representa não um universal, mas um específico ideal longamente perseguido: a exclusividade de si própria na configuração de mundo, fundamento da postura de sujeito único das relações utilitárias estabelecidas com outros seres e dos ideais civilizatórios autocentrados que resultam na anulação e tentativa de aniquilação de outros mundos – de onde, afinal, o seu alcance catastrófico multinatural. Interpretamos, então, que a crise de nome Antropoceno apresenta o limite material e espiritual da continuidade de existência dessa humanidade, à qual se apresentam nos breves porvires alternativas inescapavelmente metamórficas: sua forçosa transformação pela vingança cósmica da queda do céu, ou a reconfiguração criativa e afetiva de si pelo efeito da própria queda.

Abstract: This work seeks to investigate, in the context of the generalized and anthropogenic environmental crisis, what is this humanity of catastrophic agency – to which community it refers, what is its own. Between two different narratives of the environmental crisis, namely, the scientific definition of Anthropocene and the shamanic prophecy of the Falling Sky, human agencies are drawn with distinct contours: on the one hand, a Humanity that rises over Nature as a geological force, on another, the People of Merchandise, a group who’s predatory and cannibal behavior triggers multispecific reactions. Refusing the search for a universal definition of humanity – whether in the generality of the species, in the negative universal of victims of a catastrophe or in belonging to a single common Nature –, we propose in this work, based on the pluriontological understanding of the existence of multiple natures and their several human and non-human beings with their own history and agency, a counter-anthropological analysis of the humans causing the environmental crisis. Through other perspectives, we identified that this humanity represents not a universal, but a specific ideal long pursued: the exclusivity of itself in the configuration of the world, the basis of the posture of a single subject of the utilitarian relations established with other beings and of the self-centered civilizational ideals that results in the annulment and attempt to annihilate other worlds – from where, after all, its catastrophic multinatural reach. We interpret, then, that the crisis named Anthropocene presents the material and spiritual limit of this humanity’s continued existence, which are presented in the brief future inescapably metamorphic alternatives: its forcible transformation by the cosmic revenge of the falling sky, or the creative and affective reconfiguration of itself by the effect of its own fall.
