Interseccionalidade Abstract: This work proposes a mapping, for four decades, of the participation of black women in the miniseries broadcast by Rede Globo. Through the study of the racial issue, with regard to the legacy that slavery left to the black population and, more specifically to the black woman, it performs a historical and social rescue of fundamental discussions in the construction of black identity, bringing to light concepts such as eugenics, whitening, racism and the myth of racial democracy. It also carries out a theoretical review about the development of intersectional discussions in Brazil guided by feminist discussion, considering that black women, subject to two spheres of oppression - racism and sexism. In this context, the research relates the issue of representation and the role of the media, analyzing how these concepts were and still are present in the symbolic construction of black women through an important Brazilian media product, the miniseries. The question that guides the dissertation is: is there a possible relation between the advances of feminist and intersectional agendas and the representation of black women in Brazilian serial fiction? From this questioning, the general objective was built with the aim of demonstrating, based on quantitative data, how the participation of black women in Brazilian miniseries in the last four decades and their relationship with the advances of intersectional discussion brought about by feminist agendas. The qualitative approach analyzed 16 black characters belonging to the main cast and, through these data, observed points that relate to the way in which the representation of black women has been taking place in this media product. With the crossing of quantitative and qualitative data, it became clear that there is an increase in the number of participation of black women, which is directly related to the advances in the discussions that intersect race and gender, especially due to the increase expressed in the last decade, when the feminist agendas won force. However, it was still possible to note that the representation of black women is still linked to stereotypes discussed throughout the work and that, therefore, it is necessary that the media and serial products be attentive to this type of representation.
