A Narrativa fotográfica dos álbuns de fotografia de família na Curitiba da primeira metade do século XX

Abstract

Resumo: A presente pesquisa tem como objetivo principal analisar a visualidade registrada por três famílias curitibanas da primeira metade do século XX em seus álbuns de fotografia de família, especificamente quanto a estes álbuns que deixaram de circular no ambiente privado e passaram a fazer parte, em momento posterior a sua circulação privada, de acervo público de guarda da memória. Desta forma, foram utilizados como fontes principais três álbuns de fotografia de família pertencentes ao acervo do Museu Paranaense, sediado em Curitiba. Tratam-se dos álbuns MP 8990, MP 8983 e MP 8981, que pertenceram, respectivamente, às famílias Hatschbach, Mueller e Essenfelder. Os álbuns foram doados ao Museu em 25/11/2014 por Luci Berta Hatschbach e incorporados ao acervo em 01/07/2015. Estes álbuns, conforme foi possível identificar ao longo da pesquisa, contêm fotografias datadas de período compreendido entre 1908 e 1947 de famílias que viveram na Curitiba da primeira metade do século XX, permitindo observar indícios, mesmo que muito específicos, de como se dava a produção e a circulação da fotografia de família na cidade durante o referido período, bem como o que estas famílias privilegiaram tornar visível. A leitura dos álbuns se deu a partir da identificação dos temas prevalentes retratados nestes álbuns utilizando-se os descritores icônicos empregados por Zita Rosane Possamai em sua tese doutoral. Tal conjunto de álbuns consiste, portanto, em uma amostra significativa do que circula nos museus - no caso específico desta pesquisa, o Museu Paranaense -, no que toca a visualidade das três famílias curitibanas do período estudado. Abstract: The present research has the main objective analyses the visuality registered by three Curitiba's families in the first half of the 20th century in their family photography albums, especially to the regard to the albums that ceased to circulate in the private environment and became part, at a time after their private circulation, of a public collection of memory. In this way were used as main sources three family photo albums belong to the collection of the Museu Paranaense, based in Curitiba. These are the albums MP 8990, MP 8983 and MP 8981, that belonged, respectively, to the families Hatschbach, Mueller and Essenfelder. These albums were donated to the museum in 25/11/2014 by Luci Berta Hatschbach and incorporated into the collection in 01/07/2015. These albums, as it was possible to indetificate in the research, have photos from the period between 1908 and 1947 about the families who lived in the Curitiba dating from the first half of the 20th century, allowing to observe indications, despite their specificity, of how the production and circulation of family photography in the city in that period, as well as what these families have privileged to become visible. The reading of the albums took place from the identification of the prevalent themes portrayed in these albums using the iconic descriptors proposed by Zita Rosane Possamai in her doctoral dissertation. Such a set consists, therefore, in a significant sample of what circulates in museums - in the specific case of the research, the Museu Paranaense -, with respect to the visuality of the three Curitiba's family from of the studied period.
