Espaços marginalizados, sujeitos invisibilizados e epistemes silenciadas : reflexões desde as margens na luta por justiça socioambiental

Abstract

Resumo: A presente tese apresenta como objetivo compreender e analisar o avanço e ampliação de espaços marginais urbanos, assim como o crescimento de um contingente de subalternos ao sistema de produção - invisíveis de direitos de cidadania e as consequências de um silenciamento de resistências emancipatórias por direitos desde as margens. Para alcançar os objetivos propostos na tese interdisciplinar, optou-se por realizar uma pesquisa de caráter teórico, a partir do estudo e análise da literatura referente aos temas, assim como evidenciar os aportes de realidade social desde relatórios de pesquisa empírica e dados de realidade. Os resultados alcançados tratam dos espaços marginais enquanto territórios de produção de exclusão socioambiental e de marginalização e aprisionamento de indivíduos invisibilizados. Da mesma forma, que os processos de classificação social, associados aos crescentes níveis de desigualdade social produziram um grau de vulnerabilidade que reforça os processos de subalternidade e invisibilidade. Por fim, que a epistemologia ocidental hegemônica impede a coexistência com outras epistemologias, mas que as margens se traduzem contemporaneamente como espaços privilegiados para a constituição de outras epistemologias, que permitam a emergência da luta por justiça socioambiental. Abstract: The present thesis aims to understand and analyze the advance and expansion of urban marginal spaces, as well as the growth of a contingent of subalterns to the production system - invisibles from the citizenship rights, and the consequences of a silencing of emancipatory resistance by rights from the margins. In order to reach the objectives proposed in the interdisciplinary thesis, it was decided to carry out a research of a theoretical nature, based on the study and analysis of the literature referring to the themes, as well as to evidence the contributions of social reality from reports of empirical research and reality data. The results obtained deal with the marginal spaces as territories of production of socio-environmental exclusion and of marginalization and imprisonment of invisible individuals. Likewise, the processes of social classification associated with increasing levels of social inequality have produced a degree of vulnerability that reinforces the processes of subalternity and invisibility. Finally, that hegemonic Western epistemology prevents coexistence with other epistemologies, but that the margins are contemporaneously translated as privileged spaces for the constitution of other epistemologies, which allow the emergence of the struggle for social and environmental justice.
