Relação da idade da matriz de frango de corte, tipo de máquina incubadora e linhagem sobre a qualidade do pintainho no processo de incubação

Abstract

Resumo: Alguns fatores podem influenciar no bem-estar e qualidade no processo de incubação de ovos incubáveis, o que não está bem esclarecido ainda é como isso acontece. Dentre eles, pode-se citar a linhagem das aves, a idade das matrizes e o tipo de incubadora empregada. Desta forma, o objetivo do trabalho foi avaliar a relação da idade da matriz, tipo de máquina incubadora e linhagem sobre o bemestar animal e qualidade do pintainho no processo de incubação, com ovos provenientes de matrizes jovens, velhas e de meia idade de duas linhagens (Cobb e Ross) e incubados em duas diferentes máquinas incubadoras (estágio único e múltiplo estágio). O delineamento experimental no incubatório foi inteiramente casualizado em esquema fatorial 2 x 2 x 3 (máquina de incubação, linhagem e idade) totalizando 12 tratamentos com 6 repetições cada, sendo que a unidade experimental foi o carrinho de incubação com 5040 ovos. Observou-se que, a idade da matriz foi o fator que mais afetou a qualidade e bem-estar no processo de incubação de ovos incubáveis, sendo que a matriz velha teve relação com 8 dos itens avaliados (ovos quebrados e sangrados, mortalidade de pintos, eclosão, ovos contaminados, refugos, pintos com umbigo seco e pintos eviscerados), enquanto que a matriz jovem foi responsável por 2 dos itens avaliados (pintos com bico cruzado e ovos sangrados). A linhagem foi o segundo fator que mais afetou a qualidade e o bem-estar no processo de incubação de ovos incubáveis, sendo que a linhagem Cobb afetou 6 dos itens avaliados (pintos com bico cruzado, ovos quebrados e sangrados, refugos, pinto com aspecto pegajoso e ovos bicados), enquanto que a linhagem Ross teve relação com 3 dos itens avaliados (ovos sangrados, pintos com umbigo seco e eclosão). Por fim, a incubadora foi o fator que menos afetou a qualidade e o bem-estar no processo de incubação de ovos incubáveis, sendo que a incubadora de múltiplo estágio foi responsável por 4 dos itens avaliados (bico cruzado, ovos quebrados e sangrados e pintos com aspecto pegajoso), enquanto que a incubadora de estágio único por 3 dos itens avaliados (ovos sangrados, ovos contaminados e ovos bicados). Concluiu-se que a qualidade da produção do frango de corte, no ponto de vista do bem-estar, é altamente dependente da fase de desenvolvimento embrionário que pode ser melhorado através do manejo mais adequado de ovos de matrizes mais velhas, principalmente da linhagem Cobb, com o uso da máquina de estágio único. Abstract: Some factors may influence the well-being and quality in the process of incubating hatching eggs, which is not well understood yet is how this happens. Among them, we can mention the lineage of the birds, the age of the breeders and the type of incubator used. The objective of this work was to evaluate the relationship between the age of the breeder, the type of incubator and lineage on the animal welfare and quality of the chick in the incubation process, with eggs from young, old and middle aged breeders two lines (Cobb and Ross) and incubated in two different incubators (single stage and multiple stage). The experimental design in the hatchery was completely randomized in a 2 x 2 x 3 factorial scheme (incubation machine, lineage and age), totaling 12 treatments with 6 replicates each, and the experimental unit was the incubation cart with 5040 eggs. It was observed that the age of the breeders was the factor that most affected the quality and well-being in the incubation process of hatching eggs, and the old breeder was related to 8 of the evaluated items (broken and bleeding eggs, chicks mortality, hatching, contaminated eggs, chicks with more than one quality defect, chicks with dry navel and eviscerated chicks), while the young breeder was responsible for 2 of the evauated items (chicks with crooked beak and bled eggs).The lineage was the second factor that most affected the quality and the well-being in the incubation process of hatching eggs, and the Cobb lineage affected 6 of the evaluated items (chicks with crooked beak, broken and bled eggs, chicks with more than one quality defect, with sticky appearance and pecked eggs), whereas the Ross lineage had relation with 3 of the evaluated items (bleeding eggs,chicks with dry navel). Finally, the incubator was the factor that least affected the quality and the well-being in the incubation process of hatching eggs, and the incubator of multiple stage was responsible for 4 of the evaluated items (chicks with crooked beak, broken and bled eggs and chicks with sticky appearance), while the single-stage incubator for 3 of the evaluated items (bled eggs, contaminated eggs and pecked eggs). It was concluded that the quality of the production of broilers from the welfare point of view is highly dependent on the stage of embryonic development, which can be improved by more adequate management of eggs from older breeders, mainly Cobb lineage, with the use of single stage machine.
