A ressignificação do turismo a partir do slow tourism : uma análise baseada no pólo de enoturismo da Região Metropolitana de Curitiba

Abstract

Resumo: Partindo da premissa que o turismo é um fenômeno pertencente à contemporaneidade, se faz necessário discutir ultrapassando o seu entendimento enquanto função restrita do sistema econômico e incorporar novas abordagens de fortalecimento das relações socioculturais que o compõem. O movimento de desaceleração do tempo - slow surgiu na década de 80, como contestação e valorização do desfrute do tempo e desde então tem se propagado para diferentes contextos sociais, entre eles o turismo. Apesar de ser considerado como uma tendência contemporânea, as discussões científicas são incipientes e ainda carentes de aprofundamento teórico, apresentando-se aliado a outras práticas consolidadas de turismo. Assim estabeleceu-se como problemática de pesquisa: Verificar como as dinâmicas slow se apresentam no turismo? As dinâmicas Slow Tourism possuem aproximação com o Enoturismo? De que forma é possível evidenciar o tempo lento no Polo de Enoturismo da Região Metropolitana de Curitiba? A partir desta problemática, definiu-se como objetivo: Analisar o Slow Tourism enquanto prática capaz de ressignificar o fenômeno turístico. Além da discussão teórica, desenvolveu-se a pesquisa empírica elegendo o Enoturismo, como prática de aproximação. Analisaram-se empiricamente três vinícolas do Polo de Enoturismo da Região Metropolitana de Curitiba. A coleta de dados se deu a partir da observação participante de forma assistemática e de aplicação de entrevista semiestruturada com os proprietários. Considera-se que as dinâmicas slow estão presentes nas vinícolas especialmente pela oferta: da experiência, a partir do conhecimento, elementos estéticos e evasão, da qualidade, com o silêncio, autonomia e segurança; dos sabores com a degustação dos vinhos e harmonização da culinária e da consciência socioambiental disposta pela restauração e valorização dos atributos histórico-culturais. Destaca-se no Slow Tourism a promoção do turismo sustentável e o incentivo às iniciativas locais, numa inversão de prioridades onde as condutas internas e de bem-estar da oferta turística sobressaem sobre a preocupação de satisfação das expectativas do turista. Abstract: Starting from the premise that tourism is a phenomenon belonging to contemporaneity, it is necessary to discuss overcoming its understanding as a restricted function of the economic system and to incorporate new approaches to strengthen the socio-cultural relations that comprise it. The slow - deceleration movement emerged in the 1980s as a challenge to and appreciation of the enjoyment of time and since then it has spread to different social contexts, among them tourism. Despite being considered as a contemporary trend, the scientific discussions are incipient and still lacking in theoretical depth, presenting itself alongside other already consolidated practices of tourism. Thus, it was established as a research problem: To verify how the slow dynamics present themselves in tourism? Do Slow Tourism dynamics approximate Wine Tourism? In what way is it possible to show the slow time in the Pole of Wine Tourism in the Metropolitan Region of Curitiba? From this problem, it was defined as an objective: To analyze Slow Tourism as a practice capable of re-signifying the phenomenon of tourism. In addition to the theoretical discussion, empirical research was developed by choosing Wine Tourism as a practice of approximation. Three wineries of the Wine Tourism Pole of the Metropolitan Region of Curitiba were empirically analyzed. The data collection was based on participant observation in an unsystematic way and the application of a semi structured interview with the owners. It is considered that the slow dynamics are present in the wineries especially by the offer: of the experience, from the knowledge, aesthetic elements and evasion, of the quality, with the silence, autonomy and security; Of the flavors with the tasting of the wines and harmonization of the culinary and the socio-environmental consciousness disposed by the restoration and valorization of the historical cultural attributes. Slow Tourism stands out in promoting sustainable tourism and encouraging local initiatives, in a reversal of priorities where the internal conduct and wellbeing of the tourism offer stand out from the concern of satisfying tourist expectations.
