Abstract : This work aims to expand the space for discussion and knowledge surrounding the black culture, giving primary emphasis to the study of history and comparative literature in the texts produced in Brazil, because we know that memory is fundamental to reflection of the past and understanding of our present condition. Cultural events come there as an important link in the formation of black identity in their political character and is strategic in the very construction of the sense of racial ethnic identification. Recent studies on the black and race relations in Brazil show that racism and discrimination restrict black's role in Brazilian society, leading directly to your low self-esteem. It will be therefore necessary to seek ways, ideas, techniques that assist in the construction and reconstruction of the history of africanBrazilian to foster the development of new studies and research which advances understanding of race relations. Whereas the clarification of the historical construction of social relations, especially in the education of children and adolescents is key preventive measure against the persistence of social and cultural structures that support all forms of intolerance, xenophobia, discrimination and racism, we share this work in three distinct parts: the first chapter, it is a historical about some aspects of the black coming to Brazil. In the second, it elaborates, on the implementation of Law 10.639. In the third reflects on the history and africanBrazilian literature and the ability to work it in the classroom. Therefore, this work is intended to contribute in this direction, as a sensitizer to overcome barriers in the organization of anti-racism educational practices.
