Saneamento ambiental rural : estudo de caso; Ilha Rasa, Guaraqueçaba - Paraná

Resumo: O presente trabalho tem como objetivo evidenciar a situação atual do saneamento básico rural, mais especificamente em três comunidades rurais da Ilha Rasa que esta inserida na Área de Proteção Ambiental (APA) de Guaraqueçaba, no litoral do Paraná. Esse estudo de caso foi baseado em Indicadores Ambientais oficiais relacionados ao saneamento básico em quatro comunidades rurais do litoral do norte do Estado do Paraná. A metodologia dessa pesquisa foi dividida basicamente em três etapas: Na primeira, foi levantado por meio de revisão bibliográfica o principio histórico do saneamento e os índices estatísticos do saneamento ambiental rural no Brasil e no mundo. Nessa etapa também foram pesquisados documentos oficiais e as diretrizes pertinentes ao assunto. Na segunda etapa, entrevistas informais foram realizadas com agentes relevantes para o tema e para a parte prática da pesquisa: a saída de campo. A terceira etapa da pesquisa concentrou-se na saída de campo a Ilha Rasa onde foram realizadas entrevistas semi-estruturadas junto ao método de observação e a coleta de amostras de água. A quarta etapa analisou comparativamente com este estudo de caso a comunidade do Marujá localizada na Ilha do Cardoso; São Paulo. Os resultados desse trabalho foram apresentados em dois eixos: Eixo Saneamento e Eixo Saúde. No primeiro item procurou-se levantar a forma de abastecimento de água, a qualidade da água servida e distribuída para a ilha, além das condições e características do esgotamento sanitário existente no local. O segundo eixo procurou investigar a ocorrência de diarréias e verminoses na população da Ilha Rasa, a fim de se averiguar a qualidade do saneamento ambiental existente no local. O resultado das coletas de água revelou que a água servida às comunidades rurais pesquisadas na ilha não atende aos parâmetros exigidos por lei e que há a necessidade de se criarem programas de educação sanitária a população ilhéu, além de se desenvolver novas pesquisas que busquem alternativas viáveis de saneamento a comunidade pesquisada. A fim de que a realidade local da Ilha possa passar por transformações importantes, seria necessário o fortalecimento da prática de ações coletivas e políticas na comunidade, além de uma maior participação do conselho gestor da APA de Guaraqueçaba na realidade da Ilha Rasa. Abstract: This paper aims to highlight the current status of rural sanitation, specifically in three rural communities of Rasa Island which is inserted in the Environmental Protection Area (APA) Guaraqueçaba, in Paraná, Brazil. This case study was based on environmental indicators related to basic sanitation officers in four rural communities in the northern coast of Paraná State. The methodology of this research was basically divided into three steps: At first, he was raised by the principle historical review of sanitation and statistical indices of environmental sanitation in rural Brazil and worldwide. At this stage were also studied official documents and guidelines relevant to the subject. In the second stage, informal interviews were conducted with relevant stakeholders to the subject and the practical part of the research: the field trip. The third stage of the research focused on field trip to Rasa Island where we conducted semi-structured by the method of observation and collection of water samples. The fourth step examined in comparison with this case study the community Marujá located in Ilha do Cardoso, São Paulo. The findings were presented on two axes: Axis Axis Health and Sanitation in the first item we tried to lift the form of water supply, the quality of water supplied and distributed to the island, beyond the conditions and characteristics of the existing sewerage on site. The second axis, we investigated the occurrence of diarrhea and intestinal worms in the population of Rasa Island in order to ascertain the quality of environmental sanitation on the site. The results of water sampling showed that the water supplied to rural communities surveyed on the island does not meet the criteria required by law and there is a need to establish health education programs Islander population, and
develop new research that seek viable alternatives sanitation of the community studied. In order that the local reality of the island may undergo major changes would require the strengthening of the practice of collective actions and policies in the community, and greater participation of the managing council of the APA Guaraqueçaba actually Rasa Island.
