O percurso intelectual de uma personalidade curitibana : David Carneiro

Abstract

Resumo: Compreender o percurso intelectual de um personagem que no seu post-mortem foi "eleito" pela sociedade curitibana como um dos representantes da inteligência paranaense do século XX é a questão que norteia este trabalho. A personalidade analisada é o paranaense David Carneiro (1904-1990). Na procura de elementos que possam explicar quais foram os possíveis motivos para o seu reconhecimento público, exploramos as suas relações intelectuais, sociais e institucionais, transitando pelo seu multifacetado percurso como ervateiro, positivista, museólogo, historiador e professor acadêmico.

Abstract: To understand the intellectual trajectory of a character which, in his post-mortem, was "elected" by the curitiban society as one of the representatives of the paranaense intelligence in the 20th century is the question which guides this work, and the analyzed personality is the paranaense David Carneiro (1904-1990). In the search of elements that might explain which were the possible reasons for its public recognition, we explored his intellectual, social and institutional relations, going through his multifaceted trajectory as a mate dealer, positivist, museologist, historian and academic professor.
