Videiras de cristal : estereótipos e deslocamentos

Abstract

Resumo : Este trabalho perscruta a relação existente entre Ficção e História. A investigação concentra-se em tematizar as relações entre os gêneros discursivos ficcional e histórico na composição do romance Videiras de Cristal, do escritor gaúcho Luiz Antonio de Assis Brasil. Para isso, a apreciação baseia-se, ao longo desta pesquisa, na análise do processo de construção da narrativa engendrado pelo autor ao eleger como tema para sua ficção um acontecimento da história do Rio Grande do Sul que ficou conhecido como o episódio dos mucker. Trata-se, pois, da verificação de que o entrecruzamento da ficção com a história nesta obra é expresso pela consciência de que a escrita sobre o passado, seja feita via discurso ficcional, seja pelo registro que se afirma como histórico, manifesta-se como uma tentativa de reatar os elos com um tempo que só pode ser (re)visto enquanto discurso, textualidade. Com isso, Videiras de Cristal sustenta-se como uma narrativa plurivocal que, em função dessa estrutura, não privilegia uma única visão sobre o já dito pela história tradicional acerca dos mucker, ao contrário, abre espaço para o possível de ser dito sobre o "nebuloso" episódio do Ferrabrás.

Abstract : This study investigates the relationship between Fiction and History. The investigation aims at analyzing the relationships between both the fictional and the historical discourse styles used in the novel Videiras de Cristal, written by Luis Antonio de Assis Brasil, born in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. In this research, the analysis is based on the construction process of the narrative used by the author when he chose an event which happened in the history of Rio Grande do Sul, known as the "mucker's episode". It can be noticed that the interface between fiction and history in this novel is expressed by the fact that writing about the past both through a fictional discourse and historical registrations is an attempt to connect us to a time which can only be (re)visited through discourse analysis. So, Videiras de Cristal is considered a narrative of many voices, once it has this structure, and does not privilege a unique view of what has already been said by traditional history about the mucker. On the contrary, it allows that much can be said about this bleak episode in Ferrabrás.
