O entendimento das mulheres cabo-verdianas referente à maternidade à luz das epistemologias africanas pré-invasões : como educação interfere nesta compreensão

Resumo: Esta pesquisa visa compreender como as mulheres cabo-verdianas equilibram a maternidade e as diversas tarefas, e também como a educação contribui para a sua compreensão da maternidade. Guiado pela premissa de que cada indivíduo é um reflexo da sociedade em que vive. A base teórica do trabalho consiste em pesquisas e referências de autores/as africanos/as, enfatizando as estruturas familiares e os papéis de gênero na sociedade cabo-verdiana, especialmente as contradições e hierarquias sociais. Para atingir os objetivos foram utilizados métodos qualitativos, incluindo entrevistas com mulheres na ilha de Santiago. Foram realizadas entrevistas para explorar a dinâmica familiar e a construção da categoria "mulher" em Cabo Verde, bem como as suas percepções e experiências de maternidade. Esta abordagem multifacetada proporciona uma compreensão mais profunda dos desafios que as mulheres enfrentam para equilibrar a vida familiar e profissional, e como a escolaridade molda a visão das mulheres sobre a maternidade e as suas relações com a sociedade em que vivem. Abstract: This research aims to understand how Cape Verdean women balance motherhood and different tasks, and also how education contributes to their understanding of motherhood. Guided by the premise that each individual is a reflection of the society in which they live. The theoretical basis of the work consists of research and references from African authors, emphasizing family structures and gender roles in Cape Verdean society, especially contradictions and social hierarchies. To achieve the objectives, qualitative methods were used, including interviews with women on the island of Santiago. Interviews were carried out to explore family dynamics and the construction of the category "woman" in Cape Verde, as well as their perceptions and experiences of motherhood. This multifaceted approach provides a deeper understanding of the challenges women face in balancing family and work life, and how education shapes women's views on motherhood and their relationships with the society in which they live.
