Paranismo : arte, ideologia e relaçoes sociais no Paraná : 1853 - 1953

Abstract

Resumo: Com a Emancipação do Paraná em 1853, suas elites buscam definir as características simbólicas da nova Província. Intelectuais vindos das famílias estabelecidas elaboram suas idéias e artistas plásticos, descendentes de imigrantes de formação profissionalizante, sua apresentação visual, e, ao mesmo tempo, sua interpretação das formas modernas em arte. Neste contexto, em 1927, é definida a noção de Paranismo. Nessas trocas enxergamos contratos não escritos em que agentes de diferentes estratos sociais se relacionam para benefício mútuo. A partir daí, vemos no cenário paranaense uma produção ligada às formas das artes decorativas e a um paisagismo de teor simbolista, em que a imagem do pinheiro paranaense e do pinhão passam a ser o assunto dominante. Abstract: After the Emancipation of Paraná, in 1853, the local elites struggled to define the symbolic characteristics of the new Province. Intellectuals from established families elaborated the ideas and artists of immigrant origins and technical education constructed their visual representation, and, at the same time, their interpretation of modern forms in art. In this context, in 1927, the notion of Paranismo was defined. In these social exchanges we can see non written contracts and agents of different social status dealing for mutual benefit. From this point on, we see in Paraná artistic scene a production connected to the decorative arts and to landscapes of Symbolistic flavor, where the image of the Pine from Paraná (araucaria angustifolia) and the pinhão (its nut) became the dominant subject.
