Representações sociais e turismo industrial : diálogos e possibilidades para Araucária/PR/Brasil

Abstract

Resumo: A presente tese tem como finalidade o estudo das Representações Sociais (MOSCOVICI, 2007) e suas interações na área do turismo, sobretudo do turismo industrial. Aborda o panorama geral em que se encontra o planejamento do turismo no município de Araucária / PR e sua dinâmica de desenvolvimento. A centralidade da tese se expressa pela organização da imagem de representação de Araucária e sua utilização como aporte a validação da criação e desenvolvimento do turismo industrial no município. Para tanto, foi organizada uma metodologia que prevê a inserção de dados qualitativos e quantitativos na elaboração de núcleos figurativos nos quais os universos consensuais dos entrevistados se configuram em expressões da realidade. Tal realidade expressa, por sua vez, a qualificação do espaço araucariense como substrato para a inserção da atividade do turismo industrial. Assim, acredita-se que o turismo industrial pode ser encarado como uma atividade latente que se encontra inserida no cotidiano do município. É uma atividade que pode fazer parte da história passada e do presente de Araucária, expressando sua vocação industrial. A pesquisa empírica representou tal argumento e forneceu as bases para a validação da tese. Permitiu sobremaneira que se pudesse verificar que ao se levar em conta as representações sociais de uma localidade o planejamento do turismo pode encontrar formas de tornar válido e duradouro um investimento na organização de um atrativo.

Abstract: The aim of this thesis is to study the social representations (Moscovici, 2007) and their interactions in the tourism sector, especially the industrial tourism. It approaches the overview of how the tourism has been planned in the city of Araucaria, Paraná, and how it is being developed. The main issue in this thesis is expressed by the organization of the image and representation of Araucaria and how it can contribute to the creation and development of an industrial tourism sector in the city. Therefore, a methodology that provides the inclusion of qualitative and quantitative data in developing figurative centers in which consensual universes of respondents are represented in terms of reality was organized. This reality expresses the qualification of the araucariense space as substrate for the inclusion of industrial tourism activity in the city. Thus, it is believed that the industrial tourism can be seen as a latent activity that has already been inserted into the city routine. It is an activity that can be considered for already being part of the past and present of Araucaria, expressing its industrial appeal. The empirical research has provided argument that provides basis for the validation of the thesis. It allowed verifying that by taking into account the social representations of a place, the tourism planning can find ways of making valid and lasting the investment in the organization of an attraction.
