Abstract: The main objective of this study is to show the esthetification in the relations between education and work towards the articulations that are established between esthetics as an axiologic principle and the organization of the curriculum by mean of the development of competences, as reference we take the Brazilian National Curricular Directives (Diretrizes Curriculares Nacionais brasileiras) of 1998. The starting point is the relation between esthetic and ideology and the impact in the ethical-political fields and the act of gaining a knowledge which are expressed under the denomination of post-modernism, constituted from the process of productive reestruturation. For this reason, the theoric possibilities are defined from a marxist analysis, showing the specific points of esthetic; its relations towards the construction of ideological formations needed to maintain the hegemony; the contemporary meanings of the concepts of beauty and sensitive, of mimesis e catarsis that identify with the post-modernism thesis; and the esthetification, which spread to all human activities. In this context, the identification with the changes that occur in the productive process by mean of the comparison between the Taylor-ford system adopted in modernity and the actual, based in the flexibility articulated with the post modern speech, which substitutes the qualification model for the competence model in the formation for work. Finally, the analysis of the Brazilian National Curricular Directives (Diretrizes Curriculares Nacionais) of Secondary School and Professional Education, that incorporates this new model as a new pedagogy, that relate the role of knowledge, in a context of knowledges in which the behavior and affective aspects are valued, according to the orientations in Jacques Delors report elaborated by UNESCO to adapt education to the new demand of graduation in general and professions to the XXI century. With this analysis, we propose to discover the ideological character esthetics of sensitivity defined as curricular principle which, under the pretext of this adaptation, instead of giving a basic and more suitable education to the workers, contributes to the remaking of liberal ideology, necessary to maintain the hegemony of the capital.
