Abstract: In this work, we fve analysed the existence of solution to problems of form 8 >< >: ..div € rujp..2ru . = f in u > 0 in u = 0 on @ , (2) where f : ! R is a function defined for f = up..1 + up..1, Rn open nd bounded, 2R and 1 < p < n. This problem is known in the literature as Brezis -Nirenberg fs Problem. Initially, we have studied the paper of Brezis-Nirenberg [BN83] that is the case p = 2 and gave rise to problems of form(2). The advantage of studying the case p = 2 is that the problem (2) is modeled in the Hilbert space H1 0( ), the equation of the (2) is elliptic and the solution is C2 class. In the general case, the problem is modeled in the Banach spaceW1,p 0 ( ), the equation in (2) can not be elliptic and the solution is C1, class, with 0 < < 1. What made the work of Brezis-Nirenberg original and highly publicized was the ct that they use extremal functions of Sobolev inequality to minimize the functional associated to (2). The case 1 < p < n was studied by Guedda-Veron [GV89] and the ideas used were the same as [BN83], but it was necessary to use approximation techniques and the development of principles of comparison.
