Ktze, Pseudopitadenia warmingii (Benth.) G.P.Lewis & M.P.Lima, Talauma ovata St.Hill., Manikara subcericea (Mart.) Dubard. e Sloanea guianensis (Aubl.) Benth.
Abstract: Phytosociological characterization of three arboreal successional stages of a Dense Ombrophilous Submontane Forest - Morretes County - Parana State, Brazil. The phytosociological characterization of three arboreal successional stages of a Dense Ombrophilous Submontane Forest has been done, in Morretes county, at the coast of Paraná State, Brazil, by means of the multiple sample plot method, including two subseres, pioneer and early secondary (locally called "Capoeira" and "Capoeirão"), and the Primary Forest, the climax stage of a primary succession. Each one of the successional phasis was divided in strata, delimited in Ioco. These strata were the basis for all the analysis that has been done. In the one-staged Capoeira", three sub-strata were defined. 102 species was found, being 27 in the "Capoeira, 45 in the "Capoeirão', and 77 in the Primary Forest. Evidence showed that, the "Capoeira, in spite of being dominated by the typical species, Tibouchina pulchra Cogn. And Myrsine ferruginea (Ruiz & Pavon) Mez., appeared to be in the final phasis, beginning the transition to the next subsere. The "Capoeirão" presents typical physiognomy and structure of this seral stage, and is in full development, already presenting two arborial layers and regeneration of canopy species, with dominance of Matayba guianensis Aubl, Pera glabrata Mart. and. some reminding T. pulchra. The Primary Forest is practically intact, despite of having suffered exploration of heart of palm (Euterpe edulis Mart.), showing an excellent vertical space utilization, epiphyte and liane reachness and a dense canopy, occupied by few individuals with great size; the density decreases with the reduction of the strata's height. In the canopy the dominance of Cariniana estrellensis (Raddi.) Ktze., Pseudopiptadenia warmingii (Benth.) G. P. Lewis & M. P. Lima, Talauma ovata St.Hill., Manikara subcericea (Mart.) Dubbard, and Sloanea guianensis (Aubl.) Benth. was found. Among the sucessional phasis, the Primary Forest showed the biggest floristical diversity, followed by Capoeirão and Capoeira. Considering the strata the first and the second one showed greater diversity than the third one, even in the Primary Forest and Capoeirão. in the Capoeira, the inverse condition was true.pt_BR
