Caperucita en Manhattan : diálogos e inflexões

Abstract

Abstract: The ficional universe of the novel Caperucita allows many readings, by its several characteristics, or by its more evident topics, the re-reading of the fairy-tales, giving them a polyphonic way. Sara, the feminine personage of the romance of Carmen Martin Gaite, is an adolescent in matureness phase and preparation for the adult life as well as Red Small hat in Perrault and Grimm. Considering that the narration by Gaite is a representative book in the contemporary literature, its very important to think about the changes that the writer did to the representation of the characters, in relation to the fairy-tales and other texts that the writer refers to, at the same time that the characters became more free, more conscious about their female condition. Although, there is a general tendency that puts us in front of a cultural universe that includes the language until several architectural styles. The cultural differences can be observed in the translation of the novel Caperucita. When a text is translated from a language to other, it is possible understand that it also translates the cultures, because the language is an intrinsic part from each culture. Because of this, the translator faces a paradox between the respect with the original book and his/her author and the interests of the readers. From that, it also will depend on the decision about how to do the translation and the intertextuality from the new text, Chapeuzinho.... , and the different elements from the translated culture in the children's book and teenager's book.

Resumo : O universo ficcional do romance Caperucita en Manhattan permite muitas leituras, seja pelas suas características plurais, ou pelo seu tema mais evidente, a releitura dos contos de fadas, dando-lhe um caráter polifónico. Sara, a personagem feminina do romance de Carmen Martín Gaite, é uma adolescente em fase de amadurecimento e preparação para a vida adulta assim como Chapeuzinho Vermelho em Perrault e Grimm. Considerando que a narrativa de Gaite é obra representativa na literatura contemporânea, procura-se refletir sobre as mudanças que a escritora imprime à representação de suas personagens, em relação aos contos de fadas e a outros textos com o qual dialoga, na medida em que elas próprias se tornam mais liberadas, mais conscientes da sua condição feminina. No entanto, existe ainda uma tendência globalizadora que nos coloca diante de um universo cultural que vai desde a língua até estilos arquitetônicos diversos. São as diferenças culturais refletidas na tradução de Caperucita en Manhattan. No momento de traduzir um texto de uma língua para outra se entende que também se traduz a cultura, já que a língua constitui uma parte intrínseca de cada cultura. Diante deste fato, o tradutor enfrenta um paradoxo entre o "respeito" a obra original e a seu autor e os "interesses" dos leitores. Disso, também dependerá a decisão sobre como tratar tradução e intertextualidade no novo texto, Chapeuzinho Vermelho em .Manhattan, e os elementos diferenciadores da cultura traduzida no livro infantil e juvenil.
