Abstract: Application of geodesic and topographical instruments in engineering is ample, but it isessential to guarantee the quality and precision. So, is necessary that periodicallyverifications, rectifications (when necessary) and classifications of these instrumentsare carried through. The motivation of this research appeared in the attempt to resolvsome questions of the geodesic instrumentation. The NBR 13.133/98 instruct in thepart of the teodolitos and total stations, the horizontal angular classification and themethodology of application of a field test. However, one has tested of field demandsadequate meteorological conditions, equipment that allow to also evaluate and/or tocorrect these atmospheric effect and an adequate place. In this work one searched toadapt the tests of field to a laboratory being used itself collimators. The application ofthese equipment propitiates the accomplishment of the test of classification in adjustedenvironment, guaranteeing the quality of the results. Another focus of this researchaims at to apply techniques that allow to verify the exemption of errors of graduation ofhorizontal limbs of such equipment. This concern appeared since the angularclassification of an instrument is carried through from comments carried through infield or laboratory. Thus any problem in the graduation of the limb can influence in theresults of a classification, in this way searchs to use laboratoriais techniques fordetention of errors in the graduations of the limb.Based in norms NBR 13,133/98 andISO 17,123, the laboratory has as purpose to carry through the horizontal and verticalangular classification of teodolitos and total stations in controlled environments. Moreover, one searchs to apply techniques that allow to verify the exemption of errorsof graduation of horizontal limbs of such equipment.
